Easter Weekend

Saturday Matt and I woke up early and drove outside of Green River, UT to meet up with my mom and the Ellison Clan to 4 wheel in the desert. It was a lot of fun in the sun with a bit of dust thrown in the mix!
So I saw this herd of wild horses and got sooo excited! I leapt off the 4 wheeler before Matt could even completely stop and started to slowly work my way closer and closer and closer at which point I started thinking wow these horses haven't tool off yet. Then I became suspicious and clucked and sure enough a palomino comes trotting my way... wild horses my butt!

Luke decided to climb the mountain and toss rocks like a "real" man.
and almost started a rock slide.

I kept thinking about how my little sister Nikki should be riding behind Matt so she could admire her reflection the whole time.

We climbed up the mountain and climbed up this this rickety busted up wooden ladder to reach an abandoned mine.

It was such a small jump over a VERY DEEP ravine.

After the ride my mom and I made my favorite camping meal: tin foil hobo dinners.

Sunday we had Easter Dinner with the Damon Family followed by a round of Apples to Apples. Momma Damon made us really cute Easter egg basket with loads of candy!

Hope Everyone had an incredible Easter!!

Spring Break

Matt and I were lucky enough to be able to road trip with his parents to San Diego to take the puppies to the beach.
First stop was in St. George were we visited a state park.

Puppy party in the hotel

After 12+ hours in the car we got the puppy version of "are we there yet?"

Our first day in San Diego we went on a tide pool hike at Cabrillo National Park and then took the puppies to a dog beach.

Matt and I went to the San Diego Zoo. Matt loved the Pandas and I loved the big Cats and Polar Bears.
Our last day we took the puppies to another beach.
I was lucky enough to have some old friends in San Diego for the week as well and was very excited to catch up and introduce Matt to them! This trip was so much fun and a much needed break!

Damon Family Hawaiian Vacation

Talk about starting the year off right, we spent the first of January on Kauai!
This was such an amazing vacation words just cannot do it justice...
Matt, Kathryn, and Paul at the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.

Parrot Talk time was one of the many highlights for me. These birds are so gosh darn cute!!

The boys went golfing so Kathryn and I took off on an exploring excursion. We hit JoJo's shaved ice and had the famous Hawaiian shaved ice with a scoop of ice cream in it. We also went to the Spouting Horn and saw cute lil sea turtles and breaching whales. I wish I had a picture of the moment but at the time I was too nervous to be thinking of snapping a shot but I must confess that in our adventure we turned off onto a dirt road and as we took in the sights the "dirt" turned into loose sand and we got stuck!! Luckily Kathryn was able to do some AAA worthy maneuvering and got us out of there. :)

This was my first trip to Hawaii and I was so amazed everything is so beautiful! We went on a helicopter tour as the majority of the island is inaccessible by road and the view was positively breath taking!

This is Lilikoi. She is adorable...and she will let you know it. "Pretty Bird".

We got drug on the stage to do the Hula...I wasn't very good.
