SOO Exciting!

Why is a key so oober exciting? Well minus the fact that my devastatingly handsome future hubby is holding it. This key happens to fit in a lock.Yes, I know who would have ever guessed?! The question is did you guess that the key my devastatingly handsome future hubby is holding fits into the lock that secures the door of the oh so cute and adorable apartment that I will be living in with my devastatingly handsome husband... Mmm...Sorry I needed a moment to reflect on that good lookin man of mine. Now I am done, back to the key! It makes me have warm fuzzy feel goods and I thought I should share :)

Annalyn & AIden

I happen to have the most amazing selfless sweetest prettiest coolest funniest older sister ever! Her name is Annalyn. She has an amazing husband, Adam, and two of the cutest kids on this planet!!

Annalyn is a phenomenal softball player and an even better coach and Adam loves the game is just as great of a coach and together they are pretty much unstoppable. I am so excited that they have finally decided to start looking to put in for coaching positions at the collegiate level. Why am I so excited? My sister lives in Natchitoches, LA which happens to be a good 1,500 MILES waaay TOO far from me and there is a university by the name of Weber State that is looking to hire an assistant coach that is not too far, in fact it is a grand 15 miles from me :)
MY SISSY FLEW IN FOR AN INTERVIEW!!
&
Matt got to meet her and her adorable son Aiden!!!
Life is good :)

Aiden

Addalyn

Matt & I picked Annalyn and Aiden up from the airport and I must admit I was a little miffed that Aiden loved Matt. Don't get me wrong I cannot blame the kid I happen to be totally crazy about that man myself but sheesh he could of at least pretended that it was a difficult choice to replace me with Matt as the new favorite. The boy is a total man's man and though I may have had a teeny green monster on my back, whose name could have possibly rhymed with Bealousy, I loved watching Matt get initiated into the Uncle club.
Bealously may have acted up and prevented me from taking pictures of this interaction due to being too busy trying to usurp the new "favorite". :-( Whoops.
I did get some of Aiden throughout the trip!

Nut

The "Orses"

Aiden was absolutely obsessed with the "orses" and when we weren't at the pasture he wanted to be playing with Nut. (Bless that dog for taking the hair pulling and tail grabbing like a champ!)

DISNEYLAND

Disneyland is definitely the HAPPIEST place on earth! I loved every second of our trip and am so grateful for the opportunity to bond with Matt's parents. You always hear horror stories about the in-laws and I am happy to report that my soon to be in-laws break the stereotype they are kind loving wonderful people and I have come to treasure the time I am able to spend with them. It is no wonder their son is such an incredible man!

Everyone has asked what my favorite ride was but there is no way I could pick just one! My favorites were Indiana Jones, Star Tours, California Screamin, Toy Story Mania, Haunted House, Pirates, and The Tower of Terror. The 3D movies were a lot of fun as well I LOVED "It's Tough To Be A Bug"! Matt loves the MJ film and Muppets. The "Aladdin" musical is PHENOMENAL!!! Oooh I loved that one a lot then genie was Amazing!!! World of Color and Fantasmic were great live shows! World of Color is the Bellagio watershow on crack and Fantasmic is just fun!

So I have to share this story... We started waiting for World of Color about an hour in advance to get a good spot and Matt is sitting down in front of me. One of the ushers comes over taps Matt and tells him that she goes to BYU (for anyone who doesn't know Matt he HATES BYU) and that he cannot watch this show because he is a rival Aggie...Matt, who is completely decked out in Ute gear, turns to her and says well good thing I am not an Aggie but nice to see proof of that good education your getting @ BYU... I was dying!! The girl looked so proud of herself for coming up with this ultimate put down and you could just see it on her face when she realized how she had messed it up. It took everything I had not to laugh.

On our last day at the park Matt got us these adorable mouse hats/ears he was wizard mickey ;-)
I love this guy!

Alright so I must admit one of my favorite things to do is people watch...endless entertainment for free. Disneyland was just WOW I highly recommend for all of my fellow people watchers! I have to post a picture of my favorite WTH moment. Matt was actually the one to spot this out (I was so proud) he also helped me take this pic on the sly for your viewing pleasure...
Yes, that IS a TATTOO of an xbox CONTROLLER!

After 3 days of pure Disneyland amazingness we hit up Knott's on our last day. I recommend eating the fried chicken, a funnel cake, and riding the xelerator (82mph in 2sec!)
Matt got into a 3pt basketball shooting contest and it was fun to watch him, I was quite impressed after going through 3 times he beat the high score and figured out how the carnivals rig it. (The arc isn't correctly distanced and the balls are weighted differently). Next in the carnival line up was a baseball throw where he won me the cutest stuffed white tiger! Yes, we found a way to bring her home on the plane :-)

All in all it was a great vacation, a lot of memories were made, and I look forward to making more throughout our life together :-)

I am 20!!

I had a GREAT birthday yesterday! Matt and I met with Swensen Photography to check out our engagement pictures...GORGEOUS!! Clark did such a great job! Matt and I managed to agree on 4 pictures for our invitations, I cannot wait to see them. After pictures we headed to see the apartment Matt liked the other day and I loved it! Soo exciting I cannot wait to start decorating this place and making our home together :) Matt got me this gorgeous framed picture of Christ for my birthday it is really neat with a sort of 3 dimensional effect going on...I will have to post a picture but it is going to look great in our apartment! . We then headed to The U field house to check out the 7on7 football tourney Luke was playing in for Fremont. My brother is such a stud I am so proud of him for working so hard to better his game. As for the incompetent Fremont football coaches... I will just keep my mouth shut I am sure a rant will surface during season. We left the tourney to go eat at P.F. Chang's I must say I was quite impressed with that place. Matt always orders better than me one day I will be smart enough to just double his order I am sure Matt would love that as I always end up eating off his plate lol during this particular outing I thoroughly enjoyed his sesame chicken totally delish!! Momma & Papa Damon gave me this amazing book of recipes from The Roof, I am excited to try out the white chocolate mousse Oreo cake mmm! After lunch it was off to the theater to watch Les Misérables which by the way is AMAZING!!!!! We concluded my birthday with dinner at the gateway with Luke and my mom followed by Bridesmaids... that movie is soooo funny Matt and I were both rolling!!

Well tonight we are headed to Cali to go to DISNEYLAND!!! I am so pumped I have never been, hopefully I can find my camera before we leave. It went missing after my birthday shenanigans :(

Memorial Day Weekend

I headed to Az for the weekend to visit my dad, stepmom, and my puppy! It was great to spend time with them I am so happy that they have moved closer!! The pool and sunshine did not hurt either ;-) I got to spend Friday and most of Saturday with Barbie having girl time and then Sunday was me and Zander's day to be lazy by the pool he was a littlle unsure of it at first but once I got him in he was happy to chill on the steps.

I was lucky enough to spend Monday with my dad we visited some of his childhood haunts and ate at his favorite pizza place :-)

**I promise I dont have one fat leg and one skinny leg...**
Matt golfed and worked but still managed to find time to be a goof and tease me mercilessly for "abandoning" him...oh boys sooo dramatic haha. My family went to Disneyland for the weekend...Luke is a dork... for those of you who know him do I really need to say more?

Annalyn and her cute family were off to Puerto Rico...until the tornadoes got the flights cancelled and they decided to drive to Florida instead. Apparently memorial weekend is an annual gay pride gathering shin-dig in Pensacola, Fl and my 4 yr old niece is a very inquisitive person. After a few very LOUDly phrased questions Annalyn decided that a few hrs in Fl was enough and the Burch family packed up and headed home lol.

rings, pirates, and golf...

After work Friday I went to SLC to meet up with Matt. We went to OC Tanners to look at Mens' rings... amazing the difference a diamond makes lol. I had to pull my veto vote on the Ute red ring Matt was considering. He ended up picking a really unique ring it is black with silver on the inside I cannot do it justice with words I will just have to post a pic once I pick it up.

Yay soo exciting I am getting married!!! The nice man at the jewelers offered to clean my ring while we were there so now it is even more purrty and sparkly than before! After rings we met Matt's parentals at The Roof in Temple Square... talk about a view!!!! WOWZA! Our mission was to taste a little of everything to help us decide on a menu for the luncheon I took this mission to heart ;-). We saw the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean late that night and I have to say I wasn't that impressed. It was good don't get me wrong I was just expecting more. Johnny Depp was phenomenal as always but I am not sure about Penelope Cruz as a lady pirate but she sure beat the sorry excuse for lady turned pirate that is Keira Knightley. Saturday I met up with Matt at a golf course in Bountiful to watch him play in a tournament and maybe learn a little bit about the game. Imagine my surprise when I actually had fun! OH boy... I may even like it! The golf course was gorgeous combined with Bountiful's stunning views, playing around on a golf cart, and an excuse to check out Matt's very fine derriere (take note ladies that there is A LOT of bending over in golf...I was a BIG fan)... I have decided I will play caddy whenever he wants lol. The game itself is not bad either I was expecting to be bored out of my mind but it really is an interesting game and I found watching the guys struggling to maintain their composure after a particularly bad shot/putt to be immensely entertaining. The only difficult thing for me is to not be such a chatty cathy especially when people are swinging...oops.
